Ben Shelton booked his place in his first Grand Slam final after defeating compatriot Frances Tiafoe in the US Open semi-finals.
Shelton had produced a shock victory over tournament favourite Carlos Alcaraz in a five-set quarter-final thriller at Flushing Meadows to setup a mouth-watering all-American clash with Tiafoe.
The 23-year-old trailed after the first set, but Shelton showcased the resilience and skillset that saw him prevail against Alcaraz as he fought back to win 4-6, 6-3, 6-3, 7-5.
