Tyson Fury's return to the ring will see him lock horns with Arslanbek Makhmudov at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday 11th April.
Announcing his retirement and subsequently reversing his decision on numerous occasions, there was an expectancy that the Gypsy King would return to the ring once again after bowing out of the sport following a second consecutive loss against Oleksandr Usyk in December 2024.
While Fury isn't jumping back into the ring with a Usyk, Anthony Joshua or Fabio Wardley, he will face 6′ 5½″ Russian brute Makhmudov in a 12-round bout which promises to deliver.
The 'Lion' most recently defeated Dave Allen, friend of the Gypsy King, in October 2025 to extend his record to 21-2, having only ever lost to Agit Kabayel and Guido Vianello since making his professional debut in December 2017.
Below, we provide you with information on who has been training the former two-time heavyweight champion ahead of his eagerly anticipated return.
Tyson Fury has proclaimed that he has not brought in a trainer ahead of his return fight against Makhmudov.
Speaking at the press conference, he said: "I'm a one-man army. I train myself like Clubber Lang (the main antagonist in the 1982 film Rocky III).
"I don't need a trainer, I don't need a nutritionist, I don't need a mind coach, I don't need a sleep coach and I definitely don't need a strength coach.
"Here's what I need in boxing - someone to wash my gumshield out and give me some water between rounds, and give me a smear of Vaseline across the eyes, and leave the rest to me.
"The rest will take care of itself, 100 percent."
Fury has previously partnered with prestigious trainer SugarHill Steward, becoming a world heavyweight champion for a second time under his guidance, beating Deontay Wilder twice and also defending his strap against Dillian Whyte and Derek Chisora.
While he has been preparing without a trainer this time round, he has been accompanied by his sons in camp.
Speaking on the experience, he said: "It's a surreal moment to have the boys there training with me.
"It feels like just the other day I was that age, wanting to be a boxer and starting off in my career. Now they're in that position and training every day and enjoying it as well as I was.
"I wish them all the luck in the world and I know that if they can dedicate themselves and go on, anything's possible in life. Because I've already done it and proved it can be done."
