England's second World Cup game sees them face off against Ghana, with Said Martinez the man in the middle.
As is to be expected, the world's best referees have been selected to oversee proceedings at the World Cup, and as such games have largely been free of refereeing controversy as a result. The Three Lions kept their noses clean against Croatia, keeping themselves out of the referees' notebook.
Martinez has officiated one game so far at this World Cup, when Qatar snatched a point off Switzerland in Santa Clara with the Honduran awarding three yellow cards and a penalty to Switzerland.
Despite still only being 34 years of age, the whistler has plenty of experience, having overseen games in Honduras since the age of 18.
Martinez was named referee for three games at the 2024 Olympics, including France's semi-final with Egypt, and has appeared at three Gold Cups, in 2019, 2021 and 2023.
Fellow Hondurans Walter Lopez and Christian Ramirez will run the lines with China's Ning Ma the fourth official. The VAR will be Mexico's Guillermo Pacheco with Fei Zhou the reserve assistant referee.
