Hibernian have confirmed the appointment of Dutch coach Marink Reedijk as their new manager.
Reedijk steps into the Easter Road dugout to replace David Gray, who became the first managerial casualty of the season following a fourth defeat in six Scottish Premiership matches.
On the appointment, the club's sporting director Malky Mackay said: "We believe Marink is an excellent fit to take the team forward.
"We began this process with a clear idea of the type of team we want to continue to build and the qualities we wanted from our next manager. Marink's philosophy, his work with players and his leadership style are strongly aligned with that.
"His teams are proactive, high energy and dynamic. What also stands out is his ability to develop individuals and create a strong collective environment."

Background & Achievements
Reedijk has carved a coaching career without playing professionally and the Dutchman's journey into football began with the Dutch Football Association where he coached several youth categories before overseeing U13 sides across three provinces.
He then joined Ajax as an assistant coach in their U18 system, gaining valuable insight into the club's famed academy operations at De Toekomst, before taking up a role with West Bromwich Albion where he was a youth development coach.
Reedijk returned to Ajax and then back to West Brom before his first door opened into senior football with KSV Roeselare in Belgium as an assistant coach. Reedijk then returned to his homeland to take on the role of first-team coach at Eredivisie side Vitesse Arnhem, where he worked under former Barcelona midfielder Phillip Cocu.
Spending two years with Vitesse, an opportunity arose at Anderlecht to lead their reserve team, and Reedijk's work with the Belgian giants caught the attention of SK Beveren, who were impressed with his vision, analytical approach and youth development, prompting the club to appoint him as their new head coach.
In 2025/26, his second full season as manager, Reedijk guided Beveren to an undefeated campaign, winning 28 of their 32 matches to claim promotion from the Belgian second tier as league winners by an astonishing 21 points. Reedijk subsequently stepped down at the end of the season.
Fluent in a number of languages including English, German and Spanish, Reedijk has a master's degree in Coaching Science from the University of the West of England. He later studied for three years to become a Doctor of Philosophy in Sports Coaching from Cardiff Metropolitan University.
Reedijk obtained his UEFA Pro Licence in 2023.
Formation, tactics & style of play
One of the main criticisms from the latter stages of Gray's tenure as Hibernian boss was the style of football and it's hoped the appointment of Reedijk will add verve and energy to the Hibs camp.
An innovative modern coach, Reedijk overhauled Beveren's style with a front-foot, proactive approach. Predominantly using a 4-2-3-1 formation, Beveren's rigid defensive structure saw them concede just 23 goals from 32 matches, while their fluid interchanges in the final third contibuted to a league-high 74 goals - 15 better than the next best teams Kortrijk and Lommel.
Player development is a powerful tool in Reedijk's locker and a skill he's honed through extensive hours working in the academy setups at the KNVB, Ajax and West Brom, which should hopefully provide the likes of Miguel Chaiwa, Nathan Lowe and Owen Elding with the platform to flourish.
It will be fascinating to see how quickly he can translate his successful methods from the Belgian second tier into the Scottish Premiership, but Reedijk insisted he will strive to give Hibs supporters a team they can be proud of.
“I can feel the ambition and see the clarity of what the Club is trying to achieve," said Reedijk.
"That was a big part of what attracted me here. I want us to be an assertive team - brave, intense and committed.
"A team that gives everything, plays with purpose and gives our supporters something to really get behind. There is quality and potential in the squad, and good work has already been done.
"My first job is to get to know the players, build on those foundations and make sure we are ready for Dundee United.”
