Nearly 16 months have passed since the Gypsy King last graced the ring, when he was defeated by unanimous decision in his undisputed rematch with Oleksandr Usyk.
Fury retired from the sport for a fifth time following the fight's conclusion but later reversed his decision and is now intent on climbing back up the heavyweight ladder.
On Saturday night Fury will take the first step towards that goal when he faces Arslanbek Makhmudov live on Netflix in what represents a statement of intent from the streaming giant as they continue their expansion into combat sports.
While the two-time heavyweight champion's return to competition will no doubt dominate the headlines, Saturday's event features a stacked undercard with a number of fascinating dynamics at play.
Chiefly among these is Conor Benn's first fight since his high-profile departure from Matchroom Boxing earlier this year.
Conor Benn returns after Matchroom split
After back-to-back showdowns with Chris Eubank Jr last year elevated his profile to new heights both in the UK and abroad, Benn opted for pastures new after being with Eddie Hearn and co. for his entire professional career.
The 29-year-old has signed a one-fight deal with the upstart Zuffa Boxing company, headed by UFC president Dana White and supported by Saudi boxing supremo Turki Alalshikh.
On Saturday Benn will move back down to the welterweight division as he looks to stake his claim for a clash with one of the biggest names in the division when he takes on former champion take on Regis Prograis in the co-main event over 10 rounds.
The bout is reportedly set to earn him a seven-figure payday, and victory against the experienced American could set him up to finally get a shot at a world title.
British heavyweight title on the line
In addition to the heavyweight action in the headline bout, on Saturday night the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will also play host to a British title showdown between Jeamie TKV and Richard Riakporhe.
Despite closing as a heavy underdog, TKV produced a career-best performance against Frazer Clarke in November and claimed the historic title on points at the Vaillant Live in Derby.
Now the 32-year-old will make the first defence of his title on the big stage when he takes on Richard Riakporhe.
Riakporhe held gold at British level as a cruiserweight, but opted to move up after being beaten by Chris Billam-Smith in 2024 in what is to date his only defeat as a professional.
In his most recent outing Riakporhe dominated the previously unbeaten Tommy Welch, dropping him three times in the second round before the referee was forced to intervene.
