Jordan Spieth tees it up at the Copperhead Course at Innisbrook in search of a second victory at the Valspar Championship.
Coming a month before his US Masters win, Spieth was victorious in 2015, beating Patrick Reed and Sean O'Hair in a play-off to pick up his second full-field win on the PGA Tour.
From there, Spieth became the undisputed best golfer in the world, taking two majors and two more PGA Tour events in 2015, adding four more PGA Tour wins as well as The Open over the next two years.
Things become much more difficult for the Texan from there, however. Not long after lifting the Claret Jug, Spieth suffered a wrist injury that caused him problems for the better part of a decade, with Spieth managing just two more PGA Tour victories in his next 82 events.
Spieth was winless between 2018 and 2020 before breaking his duck at the Valero Texas Open in 2021 during an improved run of form, going on to finish T3 and the Masters and solo second at The Open
Spieth's struggles returned in 2022, however, with a run of six events with no top-25s and two missed cuts -- including his his first at Augusta -- before bouncing back to win the RBC Heritage the week after his disappointing Masters showing.
The RBC Heritage in April 2022 remains Spieth's last victory on the PGA Tour, with only a couple of runner-up finishes to his name since.
Spieth has started 2026 promisingly, though, and the drought may well end this year. After a T24 at the Sony Open to start the year, Spieth missed the cut at the WM Phoenix Open before responding with a T29 at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am. The 32-year-old followed that up with a T12 and T11 at back-to-back Signature Events at the Genesis Invitational and Arnold Palmer Invitational, before ranking eighth for Strokes Gained: Approach at the Players Championship, suggesting Spieth may be getting back into contention.
