Week eight of Dana White's Contender Series, topped by a lightweight showdown between George Staines and Loai Abushaar, is set to place on Tuesday 29th September, 2026.
Arguably the brightest prospect in all of British mixed martial arts, Staines has racked up a perfect 10-0 record as a professional since making his debut in 2023.
The Hull-born lightweight has gone from strength to strength since making the move to Next Generation MMA in Liverpool to train alongside current UFC lightweight contender Paddy Pimblett and he will look to earn a UFC contract with a statement victory.
Abushaar meanwhile enters the fight riding a four-fight unbeaten streak and has finished all seven of his victories in MMA.
The full event will be streamed live in the UK on UFC Fight Pass, with a monthly subscription costing £7.99 per month.
