Canelo Alvarez will return to the ring for the first time since his defeat to Terence Crawford when he challenges Christian Mbilli for the WBC super middleweight title on Saturday.
More than 13 months have passed since the pound-for-pound great last stepped inside the ropes, when he was beaten for just the third time across 68 fights as a professional.
After speculation surrounding his future in boxing, Canelo will now look to reclaim one of the titles Crawford took from him when he faces Mbili on Saturday night.
Mbilli is unbeaten as a professional and will make his first title defence this weekend after being promoted from interim to full champion status in January of this year.
