Tommy Fury is in search of a “superstar” opponent after outpointing Eddie Hall in Manchester, where a controlled performance saw him contain ‘The Beast’ through six two-minute rounds.
The pair headlined a Misfits Boxing event on Saturday, with former world champion Tony Bellew and heavyweight veteran Derek Chisora producing scores of 59-56 and 58-56, respectively.
Third judge Chase DeMoor, meanwhile, had it 57-57, yet Fury nonetheless claimed a majority decision victory which does not affect his professional record of 11-0 (4 KOs).
During his post-fight press conference, the 27-year-old insisted that his next dance partner must be of the “superstar” variety and yet, regardless of their profile, it would appear that three names stand out as realistic opponents.
Find out who they are below...
Fury was supposed to collide with Darren Till in January 2025, only to pull out of their encounter after the former UFC contender threatened to kick him in the head.
Since then, ‘TNT’ has largely dismissed the possibility of revisiting their matchup, even after being called out by Till following his victory over Hall.
Shortly after defeating the former World’s Strongest Man, Fury said: “Darren Till is a man that I’m not interested [in]. Darren Till can’t be professional, and that’s why he’s been kicked to the curb.
“I picked Darren Till, don’t forget. He was a warm-up, he was a comeback fight for me. [He] blew his chance.”
Irrespective of his comments, Fury could still be tempted by a lucrative lump of cash, which would surely be up for grabs if they make it to the negotiating table.
Given Till’s fiery demeanour, the build-up alone would be enough to stage this as a Misfits pay-per-view event.
A rematch between Fury and Jake Paul could make perfect sense, but only if the latter is able to secure a full medical clearance.
Indeed, Paul’s fighting future remains uncertain following his sixth-round stoppage defeat to Anthony Joshua, who fractured the internet star’s jaw in two places with a single right hand last December.
At the same time, though, the 29-year-old has expressed an eagerness to return to action, this time wishing to compete at a more natural weight of 200lbs.
A second encounter with Fury could therefore appeal to him, offering the American an opportunity to exact his revenge over the Brit, who edged their professional eight-rounder by split decision in 2023.
While Fury also dismissed a rematch with Paul during Saturday’s post-fight press conference, the Salford man could do with being a little less fussy if he is to remain relevant in the world of influencer boxing.
Again, Fury rejected DeMoor as a potential opponent after defeating the former World’s Strongest Man on Saturday, suggesting that he should instead face his brother, Roman Fury.
Tommy could swiftly change his tune, however, if he is offered a handsome financial incentive to take on the Misfits heavyweight champion.
Despite being a more natural cruiserweight, Fury weighed just shy of 218lbs for his clash with Hall and could therefore justify an encounter with the 6ft 5in DeMoor, who actually tipped the scales at 200lbs for his six-round majority decision victory over Andrew Tate last December.
This would also present Fury with the chance to claim his first boxing title, albeit one that holds meagre credibility in the sport.
