Men's Dress Code

Grandstand & Outer Enclosures

There is no official dress code in the Grandstand and any outer enclosure with racegoers encouraged to 'dress to feel your best'.

Outer enclosures include: The Lonsdale, Upper Tattenham and The Derby Family Festival enclosures.

Queen Elizabeth II Stand Enclosure

Either black or grey morning dress with a top hat, service dress or full national costume is obligatory on Derby Day.

Women's Dress Code

As with the men, there is no official dress code in the Grandstand and outer enclosures with racegoers encouraged to 'dress to feel your best'.

Queen Elizabeth II Stand Enclosure

Ladies are required to wear formal day dress or a tailored trouser suit, with a hat or substantial fascinator. Fancy dress is not permitted.

Can you wear jeans at the Epsom Derby?

Racegoers in the Grandstand, Lonsdale, Upper Tattenham and The Derby Family Festival enclosures can wear jeans.

You will not be able to wear jeans if you are in the Queen Elizabeth II Stand Enclosure.
