There is set to be a fire sale at West Ham as they refresh their squad ahead of their attempt to bounce straight back to the Premier League.
It's no secret that Nuno Espirito Santo's men need to sell before they can consider bringing players in, and there are a plethora of names being linked with big money moves away.
The latest is French midfielder Mohamadou Kante, who The Irons have now named their price for according to The Athletic.
Amidst interest primarily from Ligue 1, West Ham have decided that Kante will be free to go should they receive any bids in the region of £15m-20m.
The 20-year-old midfielder joined from Paris FC in the summer of 2024 and finally broke through into the first team around Christmas that year.
Nuno is apparently a big fan of the 6ft5 man and has been impressed by how he has imposed himself on senior players in training, with the Frenchman appearing 19 times for the first team in all competitions last term, albeit sporadically in the Premier League.
Though if push comes to shove, players that can command a fee such as that - such as Kante, Matheus Fernandes and Jarrod Bowen - may have to be moved on to reshape the Hammers' ahead of their first EFL Championship season since 2011/12.
A return to France is likely to be a tempting one for the player that would allow him to continue his promising development in his home country close to his family, so the move could be mutually beneficial.
Alternatively, should nobody match the fee they want, Kante would be backed to get regular minutes in a team that should ultimately be right near the summit of England's second division.
