Roberto Heras and Primož Roglič hold the record for most victories in the Vuelta a España with four.
Heras won his first in 2000 and made it three in a row in 2003, 2004 and 2005 before Slovenia's Roglič triumphed in three consecutive years from 2019 and equalled Heras' tally in 2024.
Switzerland cyclists dominated the 1990s and Tony Rominger claimed three titles between 1992 and 1994, while the legendary Alberto Contador is another rider with three Vuelta triumphs which he achieved in 2008, 2012 and 2014.
