Umar Nurmagomedov will look to stake his claim for a UFC title shot when he takes on Song Yadong in Shanghai on 29 August.
After suffering his first career defeat at the hands of then bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili in January 2025, Nurmagomedov - the cousin of UFC legend Khabib - has reeled off back-to-back wins inside the Octagon.
The 30-year-old kicked off 2026 with a dominant win over former flyweight king Deiveson Figueiredo at UFC 324 and he will now look to continue his momentum against perennial contender Song.
China's Song has fought some of the biggest names in the division including the likes of Henry Cejudo, Sean O'Malley and Petr Yan and he will have the crowd on his side as he looks to pull off the upset at the SPD Bank Oriental Sports Center.
The card is also set to feature former women's strawweight title challenger Yan Xionan and rising bantamweight star Kai Asakura.

While fight times are yet to be announced for UFC Shanghai, it is expected that due to the time difference the five-round bantamweight main event between Umar Nurmagomedov and Song Yadong will get underway at around 13:00 BST on Saturday afternoon for fans in the UK and Ireland.
Venue
The full UFC Shanghai event will take place at the 18,000-capacity Shanghai Oriental Sports Center in the Chinese city.
The card marks the second visit of the UFC to the venue, with the first coming last year when Johnny Walker stopped Zhang Mingyang in the main event of UFC Fight Night 257.
