Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua appear set to finally lock-horns in one of the most highly-anticipated fights in British boxing history.

Speculation has been rife for the best part of a year that the pair were finally ready to settle their differences inside the ring.

But after near-misses and cancellations -- in the past, fight fans would have been forgiven for questioning whether the dust-up would actually ever take place.

However, despite the recent saga over the venue -- a dispute that looked likely to see the showdown canned once more -- all signs suggest that the two will meet in South Wales, and not New York, in either November or December.

Many will argue that the fight is coming two, three or even five years too late, but still, for fans who have clamoured for this for such a long time, it does in fact appear to be happening, and thankfully on British soil.

Both fighters have gone through the ringer in recent years, both have been bamboozled by the pound-for-pound sensation Oleksandr Usyk, and both have recovered from successive losses against the Ukrainian with largely underwhelming victories.

It's Fury though who appears to have the ever so slight edge, with the Morecambe man installed as the narrow pre-fight favourite.

There wasn't an enormous amount to take from his lopsided victory over the well past it Mariusz Wach in July with the veteran Pole retiring on his stool at the end of the seventh round.

There was undoubtedly far more to take from Joshua's victory over the previously unbeaten Kristian Prenga 24 hours later though, after the Briton climbed off the floor to stop the Albanian in the second round.

The ghosts that had haunted the former two-time blue-riband division titlist in the past were back to haunt him once more; only this time he was able to survive being floored twice to land a devastating stoppage victory.

With plenty of questions to be asked over the coming few months and plenty of storylines surrounding the grudge fight still to play out, we've awarded Fury early favouritism.

The Gypsy King is odds-on to win the fight and 13/10 to prevail via knockout or technical knockout.

A Joshua triumph has been priced up at 13/8 and he is also available at an eye-catching 7/1 to knock Fury out.
