Sensational reports emerged from Wolverhampton Wanderers this week regarding the conduct of striker Tolu Arokodare.
New manager Cesar Peixoto is said to have asked Arokodare to leave the pitch following a disagreement during a pre-season training session on Monday.
However, The Nigeria international refused to vacate and training was ultimately cancelled as Arokodare refused to cede.
As a result, Wolves are said to have enlisted additional security at the club's Compton Park training base to ensure that he did not return the following day.
Arokodare arrived at Molineux from Genk last summer in a bumper deal worth £23.4million and failed to live up to expectations, netting just three league goals as they finished bottom of the Premier League table.
Even prior to the latest incident Arokodare was already linked with a move away from Wolves in the transfer window and the latest drama has likely only expedited his exit.
With multiple clubs said to be interested, we've taken a look at where the striker could depart for this summer.
Tolu Arokodare potential next club
Trabzonspor
Trabzonspor were the first team to enquire about Arokodare this summer, with the Super Lig side said to have been keen on signing him on a season-long loan.
An official bid was tabled last week but was rejected out of hand - with the player said to be prioritising a move to one of Europe's top five leagues.
Despite being pushed back on their initial approach the Turkish club are said to have retained their interest, and Arokodare could ultimately be swayed as it becomes increasingly clear that he has no future at Wolves.
Genoa
Arokodare has also emerged as a potential target for Genoa, with the Serie A side reportedly readying an approach for the 25-year-old.
Their top goalscorer in the Italian top flight was loan forward Lorenzo Colombo who managed just seven goals from 38 appearances, and while the club have subsequently signed him permanently Daniele De Rossi will be intent on bringing in additional firepower this summer.
While Arokodare flattered to deceive in an underwhelming Wolves side last season, he was prolific during his time in Belgium and if he could recapture that form at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris the signing would represent a solid piece of business.
Fiorentina
While Genoa are chasing a deal for Arokodare, they are not the only Serie A side interested in the striker - with Fiorentina also reportedly pursuing a move.
Reports suggest that the Viola have prepared an initial loan offer with a purchase clause included worth €22 million which is yet to meet Wolves' valuation of €26 million.
His recent antics will have done little to endear him in the West Midlands though, and Wolves may opt to accept the terms to put an end to this saga.
Plus, with Moise Kean linked with a move away from the Stadio Artemio Franchi, Fiorentina will be looking to bolster their attacking options and the signing of Arokodare would certainly fill that gap.
