After England's World Cup exit we've taken a look back at the most expensive signings from Thomas Tuchel's managerial career.
Prior to succeeding Sir Gareth Southgate in the England hot seat in January 2025 Tuchel had spent his entire managerial career at club level.
After forging a reputation in his native Germany with FC Ausburg's reserve side and at Mainz 05, Tuchel went on take the reins at Borussia Dortmund, where he won the DFB-Pokal in 2017.
From there the 52-year-old enjoyed successive spells at some of Europe's biggest clubs, going from Paris Saint-Germain to Chelsea to Bayern Munich in the space of three years.
During his time at these clubs Tuchel had access to some of the biggest transfer war chests in football and unsurprisingly he made full use of the purse strings available to him to create a list of his most expensive signings that is littered with stars.
Chief among them is Kylian Mbappe.
Tuchel was head coach at the Parc des Princes when Mbappe's permanent move from Monaco was confirmed, with the eye-watering price of £165million making the Frenchman the second most expensive player of all time to this day.
Mbappe is joined on the list by the likes of Wesley Fofana, Raheem Sterling and Leandro Paredes.
