Wrexham are on the verge of completing a £5 million deal for Crystal Palace defender Danny Imray, according to a report.
The Red Dragons have been in the market for a new right wing-back this summer after Issa Kabore returned to his parent club Manchester City following a loan spell at the Racecourse Ground last season.
Ryan Longman remains a versatile option in the position, but Wrexham have been linked with a plethora of names to fill the void, including Portsmouth's Terry Devlin and former Everton defender Seamus Coleman.
However, it appears Phil Parkinson may have found his man, with the Telegraph's Mike McGrath reporting that Imray will not feature in Palace's pre-season trip to Italy as he finalises a £5m move to Wrexham.
Imray earned an array of plaudits following a fruitful loan stint at West Brom in the second half of the previous campaign.
The 23-year-old played a key role in reviving the Albion's fortunes under James Morrison as the West Midlands club hauled themselves clear of relegation trouble in the Championship.
West Brom were keen for Imray to return to The Hawthorns for the upcoming season, but Wrexham have flexed their financial muscle to secure the services of the attacking right-back.
Imray played for Essex sides Ilford and Billericay Town at youth level before joining Chelmsford City in the National League South, where he made his senior debut at 16.
The defender later joined Palace and featured in their academy setup before climbing the Football League ladder with successful loan spells with Bromley in League Two and Blackpool in League One.
Imray's spell at Blackpool ended prematurely as he was recalled by Palace midway through the 2025/26 before being sent out to West Brom to sample Championship football for the first time.
