We take a look through the previous winners of the Vitality Blast since the T20 tournament was launched in 2003.
Such is the competitiveness of the competition, a total of 13 different counties have been victorious in the Blast since the inaugural edition.
Leicestershire and Hampshire are the most successful counties having been crowned champions on three occasions each, while a total of four counties have triumphed twice: Somerset, Kent, Northamptonshire and Nottinghamshire.
Fascinatingly no county has ever retained their title, although a number of teams have come close to doing so.
Surrey Lions were the first winners of the Twenty20 competition before they suffered defeat to Leicestershire in the final in the following year. Kent Spitfires endured the same heartache in 2008 after winning the Blast in 2007, while the Worcestershire Rapids were denied back-to-back triumphs by Essex Eagles in 2019. Most recently in 2024, Somerset's attempts to defend their crown were thwarted in the final by Gloucestershire.
No county has progressed to the final more times than Somerset, with the county infamously suffering three consecutive final defeats from 2009 to 2011.
