Sunderland and Ipswich Town are reportedly keeping tabs on Bodø/Glimt defender Fredrik Sjovold ahead of the January transfer window.
The 23-year-old has spent the last five years at Bodø/Glimt under the stewardship of Kjetil Knutsen.
He has become an integral part of the team after making the right-back spot his own in recent times.
Sjovold has won two league titles with the club and he also played a key role as the club reached the semi-finals of the UEFA Europa League in the 2024/25 campaign.
On the Minute have reported that Sjovold's performances have caught the eye of both Sunderland and Ipswich.
The right-back has made over 170 appearances in Norway and the Premier League duo believe that he can make the step up to the English top-flight.
It is believed that no offers have been made at this stage, but scouts are continuing to watch the player with the opening of the transfer window less than three months away.
Sunderland are looking for more depth at full-back as they continue to juggle the additional workload that the Europa League provides, while Ipswich could well see Sjovold as a key target as they look to stay in the league.
