Sunderland striker Brian Brobbey has been linked with a move to Serie A giants Juventus.
Brobbey arrived at the Stadium of Light from Ajax for a fee of €20 million prior to the start of last season.
The Dutch international quickly became a fans' favourite despite a relatively modest return of seven goals from 31 Premier League appearances last season.
Nevertheless, his performances contributed to Sunderland securing European football at the end of their first season back in the top-flight.
Manchester United are believed to be interested in the 24-year-old forward but the Black Cats could now receive interest from further afield, with Italian news outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport reporting that Juventus are also keen.
Brobbey has enjoyed a good start to the new season, which has included an eye-catching hat-trick against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.
Juventus sent scouts to watch Brobbey during the current international break, only for the Netherlands forward to come off after an hour against Germany.
Brobbey had suffered a thigh injury and while the immediate focus for Sunderland will be helping him to return to full fitness, they will be bracing themselves for January offers.
Juventus have previously been linked with Newcastle United striker Nick Woltemade, but they could now be set to make an approach for a forward on Wearside.
Brobbey's contract does not expire until the summer of 2029 and whilst Sunderland will want to keep him, the opportunity to make a sizeable profit could enter their thinking.
