Spencer Brown will reportedly serve as the lead promoter for Tyson Fury's comeback fight against Arslanbek Makhmudov.
Fury will return to action at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in April after previously announcing his retirement from boxing following his second successive defeat to Oleksandr Usyk.
The bout will mark Fury's debut on Netflix as the streaming giant continues to move into the combat sports sphere - after previously hosting the controversial Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson bout in 2024, and Paul's clash with Anthony Joshua.
One interesting omission from the Fury vs Makhmudov announcement was the absence of any mention of Frank Warren's Queensberry Promotions.
Warren had served as Fury's promoter since he returned to the ring in 2017, and the pair had remained together throughout the Gypsy King's run back to the top of the heavyweight division.
Speculation regarding a potential split increased after Warren shared a cryptic post on X detailing his pride in working alongside the two-time champion.
"It is one of the greatest privileges of my career to work with Tyson Fury," Warren wrote in February.
"Nights like six years ago, watching him beat Deontay Wilder to win the WBC heavyweight world championship — will stay with me forever.
"I’m incredibly proud of our journey in the sport together, boxing is better with Tyson in it!"
It now appears that Fury will be going in a different direction after after Boxingscene reported that Spencer Brown had been approved for a promoter's license.
Brown - Fury's long-time manager - has worked on a number of Riyadh Season events in the past, with Turki Al Sheikh involved in putting upcoming card together.
Tony Bellew reacted to the news on social media, and wished the pair well in the venture: "Good man Spencer!! Good luck to them."
In addition to Fury, the event will also feature Conor Benn after he departed Matchroom Boxing to sign a reported eight-figure deal with the Dana White-fronted Zuffa Boxing.
Benn is scheduled to face the two-time former super lightweight world champion Regis Prograis in the co-main event on 11 April.
