Southampton and West Brom could find themselves in a transfer tug-of-war come January.
The two sides have both enjoyed impressive starts to the Championship campaign and have already started to scope out targets for when the window opens up once again.
According to a report from TEAMtalk, one player that has caught the eye of both clubs is Greek youth international Dimitris Kaloskamis.
Kaloskamis was part of the AEK Athens side that were crowned Super League champions last season but the 21-year-old has reportedly since informed the club that he wants to leave to take the next step in his career.
Talks are said to already be underway between player and club regarding a potential exit, with AEK ready to sanction an exit provided their valuation is reached.
Kaloskamis joined AEK from fellow Greek side Atromitos last summer on a five-year deal, having initially graduated from the academy of the club's bitter rivals Panathinaikos.
Capable of playing on both flanks as well as an attacking midfielder, Kaloskamis has found minutes hard to come by since the start of the new campaign.
He was left out of the matchday squad as the club kicked off their UEFA Champions League league phase campaign with a win over LASK last week and has yet to make a league appearance this season.
While both West Brom and Southampton are said to be interested, they face competition from the likes of La Liga side Levante who can offer top flight football.
Luis Castro's side have wasted little time accelerating their approach and have held formal talks with AEK over a potential transfer.
