Sheffield Wednesday are closing in on the loan signing of midfielder Jaden Heskey from Manchester City.
The move will see Heskey rejoin the club following his loan spell at the club last season.
Journalist Pete O'Rourke has reported that the player is due in Sheffield for a medical, with the expectation that the formalities of the season-long loan will be completed.
Heskey made 20 appearances for the Owls during the 2025/26 campaign after arriving during the January transfer window.
He was unable to prevent the diastrous season that the club suffered, but his performances have impressed to such an extent that Henrik Pedersen has been keen to secure a reunion.
The 20-year-old will provide Pedersen with another option this season as the club looks to return to the Championship at the first attempt.
Wednesday have picked up six points from their opening three league games and they produced an emphatic performance to beat Bromley 7-2 at the weekend.
They return to action on Tuesday eveing when they travel to Wycombe Wanderers for a 7:45pm kick off.
