Sheffield Wednesday have broken the record for the longest winless run in all competitions by a Football League club.
The Owls travelled to league leaders Coventry knowing that they would need a first league victory in 204 days in order to avoid being the new holders of the unwanted record.
Despite a battling performance to earn a goalless draw The Coventry Building Society Arena, the result means Sheffield Wednesday have now failed to win any of their last 37 league games - a dismal run dating back to a 2-0 win away at Portsmouth on 20th September.
In doing so, their winless streak now surpasses that of the previous holders Derby County (2008) and Macclesfield Town (2018).
After being hit with two deductions totalling 18 points, the Owls have long been consigned to relegation from the Championship, with their fate sealed after they were beaten by bitter rivals Sheffield United in the Steel City derby nearly two months ago.
That result made Henrik Pederson's side the first English Football League team ever to be relegated in February, and the unwanted records have continued ever since.
