Sheffield United turn down late bid from Championship rivals

Sheffield United have reportedly turned down an offer from Burnley for left-back Harrison Burrows.

Journalist Pete O'Rourke has reported that the Clarets have made a late move for the 24-year-old.

Their bid has been rejected by the Blades but it remains to be seen whether Burnley will return with an improved offer.

Championship

Burrows has been the subject of interest from various clubs in the Championship over the summer.

He is currently competing with Sam McCallum and Rhys Norrington-Davies for the left-back spot at Bramall Lane.

Unless an improved offer comes in or a replacement is found, it looks like Burrows will remain in Sheffield when the transfer window shuts.

Burrows joined the club from Peterborough United in the summer of 2024 and he has featured 96 times for the club in the last two seasons, scoring 11 goals.

Meanwhile, Chris Wilder's are in action in the Championship this evening as they entertain Bolton Wanderers.
