Scotland travel to their first World Cup in almost three decades, with Steve Clarke's side full of hope.
Led by key stars from across Europe's main leagues, Scotland earned qualification for the 2026 World Cup via winning their qualifying group, avoiding the play-offs which saw fellow British Isle nations Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland and Wales fall short.
One of Scotland's main talismans, Aston Villa's UEFA Europa League winning captain John McGinn, spoke of his hopes for their tournament, stating: "We all want the one thing and that's for the country to be successful".
What that success actually entails is up for debate, however there is no doubt that Scotland will be dreaming of winning a first ever piece of major international silverware this summer.
In a period of stability for the typically smaller footballing nation, Scotland are currently ranked at number 41 in the overall world rankings, presenting them as heavy outsiders for this tournament.
This is reflected in Scotland's odds to lift the famous trophy, with the Tartan Army priced at a wide 250/1 to win the 2026 World Cup Outright.
A total of 25 teams are shorter than the Scots at the time of writing, including nations such as the USA, Canada and even Paraguay.
Such is the low expectation on Scotland's shoulders, they are priced at 5/2 to reach the round of 16 stage - an achievement that many consider a strong tournament for Clarke's side - while a price of 2/1 is available for them to not qualify out of their tough group.
If Scotland are to reach the latter stages of this year's tournament, they will need to rely on their key players, with Scott McTominay priced at 100/1 to lift the Golden Ball, ahead of teammates John McGinn (150/1) and Andrew Robertson (200/1).
