The Saudi Arabia Masters is regarded as one of the big four events on the WST's calendar, alongside the World Snooker Championship, UK Championship and The Masters.
By virtue of its elevated standing, the event possesses identical prize money to the World Championship with £500,000 allocated to the tournament winner.
The entire pot is set at £2,302,000, including a £50,000 bonus for the player/s who register the highest break.

Saudi Arabia Masters Snooker Venue & Location
The 2025 Saudi Arabia Masters will taker place in Jeddah at the Green Halls.
Located in Prince Abdullah AlFaisal Sports City, the venue has staged numerous other sporting events, including the World Nineball Pool Championship.
This will be the first time the Saudi Arabia Masters has taken place there with the Green Halls of Riyadh staging the maiden event 12 months ago.

Who is playing in the 2025 Saudi Arabia Masters?
A total of 144 players, including all professionals on the WST circuit, have received invites to the Saudi Arabia Masters.
The biggest names in the sport, including Ronnie O'Sullivan and Judd Trump, will all be in attendance, whilst the field will also include 16 top-up amateur players from Saudi Arabia and the Middle East.
Saudi Arabia Masters Format
The format for the 2024 Saudi Arabia Masters will carry a ranking-based format idential to the World Snooker Championship, with players ranked inside the top 16 entering the competition in the last 32.
Prior to then, players ranked from 17 to 144 will battle it out to join the cream of the WST in round five, with matches in the first, second and third rounds being staged over seven frames.
Matches in rounds four and five will take place over a best-of-nine format with the competition extending to best-of-11 between rounds six and the semi-finals.
The final will be played over two sessions, with the first player to reach 10 frames (best-of-19) being crowned champion.

The 2025 staging of the Saudi Arabia Masters will be broadcast live on TNT Sports and Discovery+ for subscribers of the platforms in the United Kingdom.

Saudi Arabia Masters History
In February 2024, the World Snooker Tour (WST) announced that the Saudi Arabia Masters would be added to the calendar for the 2024/25 season as part of a lucrative ten-year deal with the Middle East State.
Organised in collaboration with the Saudi Arabian Billiard & Snooker Federation, the Saudi Arabia Masters last year became the first ranking event to ever be staged in the country.
Since its addition, the event has been promoted by the WST as the sport's fourth major - alongside the World Snooker Championship, UK Championship and Masters.
Judd Trump was crowned champion on debut in 2024, seeing off Mark Williams in a tense and dramatic deciding frame shootout.
