In February 2024, World Snooker Tour announced the addition of the Saudi Arabia Snooker Masters to the calendar.

The 2024 edition made history, becoming the first ranking tournament to be held in Saudi Arabia.

Judd Trump became the first player to win the title, defeating Welshman Mark Williams 10-9 in the final, held at Green Halls, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
