QPR will be looking to strengthen numerous positions this summer following consecutive 15th placed finishes in the Championship, starting with an early move for a goalkeeper.
Julian Stephan has identified Dinamo Zagreb man Ivan Nevistic as his number one target for between the sticks, as he looks to provide stern competition for 24-year-old Joe Walsh and fill gaps in his squad left by the outgoing Ben Hamer and Paul Nardi - according to Croatian outlet 24 Sata.
It would be something of a coup for the R's, with the Croat featuring five times in the league phase during Zagreb's run to last season's Europa League play-off round.
The 6'4" goalkeeper appears open to a move that would be his first venture outside of his home nation since a 2018 loan to Slovenian side Mura - who he turned out for once - and it has been made clear that the Croatian side would not stand in his way should a fee be agreed.
Though a concrete offer is yet to be made, it is expected that the deal could be completed very quickly should one be submitted.
Nevistic would bring winning experience to Loftus Road, having made 59 appearances across three title wins for Dinamo Zagreb and earning plenty of plaudits from fans and media alike in the process.
At 27, he is coming into the prime of his career, and has shown decent capability at both his shot stopping and distribution across 13 appearances last season, in which he kept five clean sheets.
The goalkeeping situation in west London has been dire at times this season, with Nardi (31 appearances), Walsh (24) and Hamer (7) all coming under fire as Stephan rotated in his bid to find a solution.
With the Championship play-offs being extended down to eighth place next season, the Hoops know some smart business could quite easily see them in the mix for a return to the Premier League for the first time since 2015.
