Preston North End striker Milutin Osmajic is reportedly on the radar of Serie A side Genoa before the end of the transfer window.
Journalist Alan Nixon has reported the interest in the forward from a team that finished 16th in the top-flight of Italian football last season.
Osmajic arrived at Deepdale from Spanish outfit Cadiz in the summer of 2023 and he has been key part of the team across the last three campaigns.
The Montenegro international has scored 31 goals across 102 appearances for the club, including eight strikes in 25 outings last season.
Osmajic was named in the starting line-up at the weekend as Preston began their Championship campaign with a 2-1 defeat at newly-promoted Bolton Wanderers.
Paul Heckingbottom's side finished 14th in the second-tier last season and there will be an expectation within the club that they can build on that this time around.
The potential loss of Osmajic would leave the Lilywhites with a huge gap to fill and it remains to be seen whether Genoa will make a bid for the player's services.
Any deal is likely to depend on Preston's chances of securing a replacement by the end of the month, with the likes of Jusef Erabi and Callum Lang likely to need more support.
