The four-ball pairings have been announced for the opening session of the 2026 Presidents Cup.
Unlike in the Ryder Cup, where pairings are all made in secret and then revealed at once, the Presidents Cup sees captains announce their pairings one by one, with each captain offered the chance to respond.
International captain Geoff Ogilvy led with Min Woo Lee and Sungjae Im, with Brandt Snedeker countering with Scottie Scheffer and Sam Burns.
Snedeker was then up to pick first, sending out Cameron Young and Xander Schauffele, to which Ogilvy responded with Hideki Matsuyama and Ryo Hisatsune, then sending out Corey Conners and Nico Echavarria as his third pairing.
Snedeker replied with Justin Thomas and Jackson Koivun. The final two matches will see Wyndham Clark and Collin Morikawa take on Ryan Fox and Adam Scott, with Chris Gotterup and Patrick Cantlay teaming up in the anchor match against Tom Kim and Si-woo Kim.
There weren't many huge surprises in the pairings; rookie Koivun was always likely to be sent out with a more senior member of the team, and had been practising alongside Thomas earlier in the week.
Scheffler and Burns come together for a fifth time, meaning Burns will have played as many matches with Scheffler as anyone else in team golf. Somewhat strangely though, the pair have yet to win, losing three and tying one of their first four matches together.
The often-seen duo of Schauffele and Cantlay has been separated with Young and Gotterup making up the pairings.
For the internationals, Matsuyama plays with a fellow Japanese player for the first time in Hisatsune with Oceanian duo Scott and Fox uniting. The Korean Kims, Si-woo and Tom, are sent out last for the Internationals in what looks to be Ogilvy's best chance of a point on Thursday.
Russell Henley and Jacob Bridgeman -- players perhaps better suited to Friday's foursomes matches -- are the two to sit out for the American team, with Nick Taylor and Christiaan Bezuidenhout missing the first session.
