As we reach the mid-point of the Ryder Cup cycle, Team USA come together for the Presidents Cup against the International team.
Unlike the Ryder Cup, which has four matches of foursomes and four-balls on each of the first two days, the Presidents Cup takes place over four days, with the first two days consisting of five matches: foursomes on one day and four-balls on the other.
Day three is then four matches of four-balls and foursomes, with another difference between the Ryder Cup and Presidents Cup being that all players must play at least one match prior to the singles on Sunday, though few captains would ever sit a player out of the first four sessions.
The home captain dictates the order of the matches, and while the USA tend to lead off with four-balls, the first session of the 2026 Ryder Cup will be foursomes.
Another difference with the Ryder Cup is the announcements of the matches. While in the Ryder Cup, captains submit their matches blind, for the Presidents Cup, captains alternate picks. So Brandt Snedeker will announce his first four-balls duo with Geoff Ogilvy responding, and Ogilvy then announcing his second pairing, throwing over to Snedeker and so on.
With there being a total of 30 points to play for, the first team to reach 15.5 wins the Presidents Cup.

- Thursday: Five four-balls matches
- Friday: Five foursomes matches
- Saturday: Four four-balls matches, four foursomes matches
- Sunday: Twelve singles matches
