Premier League 2026/27 top goalscorer tips from the Football Betting Club

Take a look at the Football Betting Club's tips and predictions for the Premier League top goalscorer.

Erling Haaland has claimed the Golden Boot in three of his four seasons in the Premier League, and in the absence of Mohamed Salah is being sent off odds-on favourite for a fourth crown.

Alexander Isak, Igor Thiago and Joao Pedro look to be the Norwegian's nearest challengers, and looking to oppose Haaland, professional football bettor Nick Goff is backing the Brentford man for another strong campaign.

Premier League Top Goalscorer

"Igor Thiago started up front for Brazil at the World Cup, alright he didn't do great there, but he's a legit top-six level striker who came second in the Golden Boot market last year," said Goff on the Football Betting Club.

"I'd back him again at 12/1 each way [1/4 odds 1-2-3-4]. Obviously he needs Erling Haaland to fall in a hole to win it; I think the place part's great.

"There just aren't many out and out strikers, they don't exist like when we were kids and there were 10 top strikers in the Premier League. So an out-and-out striker who's in for seven or eight penalties... if he stays fit all season, to not be in the first four is pretty hard, so I'd back Thiago each way at 12s."

bet365's Steve Freeth said: "Would I take the 4/6? I'm not afraid to back odds-on for a season but I wouldn't take the 4/6. There's a new manager but the guy's a goalscoring machine so you have to respect him, he's the worthy favourite.

"I think Isak's on the short side with the injuries he's had. Thiago you have to respect after last season. Ollie Watkins is on the short side. I couldn't back Sesko at 20s.

"I landed on Joao Pedro at 16/1 with four places available. He's got to get over the disappointment of missing out on the World Cup with Brazil. There's a negative in that he probably won't be on penalties, I imagine Cole Palmer will take them, but I think 16/1 for a player of his quality, he's my each way play."

Football Betting Club host Jake Osgathorpe added: "I think [Palmer] will relish playing in this system under Xabi Alonso and like Joao Pedro getting a snub for the World Cup, he'll be champing at the bit to get going here.

"He's on penalty duties, he scored 10 goals in what was a very down season for him last season and it's only a couple of years ago he finished as the second top scorer in the entire division with 22.

"If he can stay fit, playing in this good Chelsea team where he only has to focus on one game a week, I think he could be very dangerous at 33/1."
