Five potential replacements for Iliman Ndiaye IF he leaves Everton

Everton winger Iliman Ndiaye is reportedly attracting interest from Saudi Pro League outfit Al Hilal.

Fabrizio Romano reported that negotiations are at 'early stages' between the two clubs, but the Senegalese forward hasn't shut the door on a potential switch to the Middle East.

The 26-year-old joined the Toffees for a reported £15m fee from Marseille in 2024 and has found the net on 14 occasions in two Premier League seasons for the Merseyside outfit.

We take a look at five players who could succeed Ndiaye in the event that he leaves Everton this summer.

Premier League

Jack Grealish

A huge gap in valuation currently exists between Everton and Manchester City in their discussions for Jack Grealish, but the sale of Ndiaye would give David Moyes' side extra funds to secure his services.

The 30-year-old enjoyed a productive first half of the season on loan at the Hill Dickson Stadium last campaign, but a foot surgery sustained in Gameweek 22 against former club Aston Villa cut his campaign short.

In the event that Ndiaye does depart, Tyrique George will be Everton's sole option off the left flank, and so reinforcement in the position is crucial. If Everton and Man City can meet in the middle on a price for the England international, you'd suspect that Grealish would relish the opportunity of playing regular football in front of a fanbase who embraced the winger's creative spark last term.

Malick Fofana

Everton were amongst the clubs keen on signing Malick Fofana last summer, but the Belgian forward opted against joining the Merseyside outfit.

While on a personal note the 2025/26 term was a season to forget for Fofana -- playing less than 800 minutes in Ligue 1 -- his injury woes could drive away previously interested clubs like Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Liverpool, potentially creating an opening for the Toffees.

An explosive winger with a knack for succeeding in one v one scenarios, Fofana's versatility could prove handy as Everton look to make a push into Europe.

Jonathan Rowe

Everton have been credited with interested in Bologna winger Jonathan Rowe just a year after his switch to Italy.

While question marks remain over the player's demeanor off the pitch -- sold after a dressing-room altercation with Adrien Rabiot -- his quality is undeniable, demonstrated by the fact that numerous clubs are tracking the 23-year-old this summer.

It's said that Bologna could seek a fee in the region of €45m for the former Norwich City man, and while it's yet to be seen as to whether Everton will stretch to that price, any funds raised from selling Ndiaye could aid their pursuit for a new winger.

Jacob Murphy

News broke earlier in July that Everton are keen on signing Newcastle United winger Jacob Murphy as they look to strengthen their forward line.

The 31-year-old has been a dependable servant under the stewardship of Eddie Howe at St James' Park, enjoying his best top-flight campaign in 2024/25 -- where he scored eight goals and registered 12 assists.

Murphy has just one year left on his contract with the Magpies, and so you'd suspect that Everton would be able to secure his signature for a reasonable fee. With that said, Murphy isn't getting any younger and the club may opt to pursue a younger option.

Keito Nakamura

Keito Nakamura has been linked with a move to Everton off the back of an impressive World Cup campaign with Japan.

Scoring against the Netherlands and assisting against Tunisia, the 25-year-old winger enjoyed a productive World Cup for Hajime Moriyasu's side. The tournament followed a striking term at club level too, finding the net on 14 occasions for Reims in France's second flight and registering two assists.

His performance's in the 2024/25 Ligue 1 term -- where he recorded 13 goal involvements -- proved that he's more than capable in the top-flight too, and the Toffees may be keen to add a proven goalscorer to their attacking ranks.
