The Derby della Madonnina is arguably the biggest fixture in Italian football as fabled rivals Milan and Inter battle for bragging rights.
In fact, few contests in world football can match the passion and style on display at the Giuseppe Meazza between the Nerazzurri and Rossoneri.
Both clubs have been host to some of the world's best players. While playing for the two biggest clubs in a city is considered sacrilege in most parts of the world, that's never really applied to Milan.
Not only are moves between the two clubs rather commonplace, a number of the game's greats have turned out in Milan's black and red and Inter's black and blue, including Ronaldo Nazario, Clarence Seedorf and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
While Milan legend Paolo Maldini holds the all-time record for appearances in the Derby della Madonnina, it's Inter ace Javier Zanetti who tops the list for Serie A appearances in the derby since the start of the 1992/93 campaign.
The Argentinian defender joined Inter in 1995 and spent 19 years with the Nerazzurri, winning five Serie A titles and the UEFA Champions League.
Maldini ranks second for appearances in the Milan derby since 1992 ahead of former team-mates Gennaro Gattuso and Clarence Seedorf, who made seven appearances for Inter and 23 for Milan in the Derby della Madonnina.
Alessandro Costacurta completes the top five ahead of former Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanovic, who made 20 appearances in the derby starting in October 2012.
The Slovenian ranks ahead of Massimo Ambrosini, Ivan Cordoba and another goalkeeper in Christian Abbiati, while Inter midfield lynchpin Esteban Cambiasso completes the top 10.
