A player who achieved phenomenal success with both Liverpool and Manchester City, James Milner has represented the ultimate team player during a stellar Premier League career which has spanned three decades.
Signing for Manchester City from Aston Villa for around £26m in 2010, Milner was an important part of the City side which won the club's first ever Premier League title in dramatic fashion against QPR on the final day of the 2011/12 season, with the Englishman winning a further three major trophies during his time at the Etihad.
In the summer 2015, the hugely versatile Milner elected to join Liverpool on a free transfer, with Jurgen Klopp installed as the Reds' new manager only a few months later.
The experienced Milner became one of Klopp's most trusted lieutenants as the German rebuilt the team and guided the club to UEFA Champions League and Premier League glory.

Snapped up from QPR's youth academy, Raheem Sterling is one of the most talented young players to have broken into Liverpool's first team in recent times, rising to prominence under the auspices of Brendan Rodgers at Anfield.
A key member of the Liverpool team which came so close to landing the club's first ever Premier League title under Rodgers in 2013/14 before being pipped by Man City, Sterling ended up making the controversial decision to make the switch over to the Etihad just one year later in a deal worth around £50m.
Sterling would go on to develop into a top Premier League player under Pep Guardiola, acquiring 10 major trophies during his seven-year stay in Manchester.

An academy graduate at Watford, the towering David James was deemed a huge prospect when acquired by Liverpool for a £1.25m fee in the summer of 1992.
Part of an English cohort at Liverpool in the 90s alongside the likes of Robbie Fowler, Jamie Redknapp and Steve McManaman who were nicknamed the 'Spice Boys', James' time at the Reds became dogged by high-profile mistakes and he eventually moved on to Aston Villa in 1999.
Earning 53 England caps during his career, James went on to represent Manchester City for two seasons between 2004 and 2006, and was once infamously deployed as a substitute striker by Stuart Pearce at the Etihad.

Hailing from Toxteth, Liverpool and growing up an Everton supporter, Robbie Fowler will forever go down as one of the best academy talents Liverpool have ever produced.
Making his first team debut in a League Cup tie against Fulham in September 1993, Fowler quickly demonstrated his outstanding finishing ability and bagged a hat-trick in just his fifth league game for Liverpool against Southampton.
Developing into one of the most prolific goalscorers in Liverpool history, Fowler won a treble of trophies with the Reds in the 2000/01 season under Gerard Houllier - the FA Cup, League Cup and UEFA Cup.
Fowler went on to spend three years at Manchester City between 2003 and 2006, experiencing mixed fortunes at the club, before returning to Liverpool for one season in 2007/08.

First making his name in the game in his homeland at Bavarian giants Bayern Munich, Dietmar Hamann spent just one season at Newcastle in 1998/99 before being snapped up by Liverpool for £8m.
The composed defensive midfielder made 283 appearances in total for Liverpool between 1999 and 2005, collecting six major trophies along the way.
Hamann famously played an integral role in Liverpool's iconic comeback in the 2005 UEFA Champions League final against Milan in Istanbul, coming on as a half-time substitute with the Reds 3-0 down and helping the team to the most unlikely of victories following a penalty shootout.
After initially signing a pre-contract agreement with Bolton, Hamann eventually left Anfield to join Manchester City in 2006, with the former Germany international spending three seasons in the Premier League with the Citizens.
