Patrick Agyemang Injury Timeline: John Eustace provides update on Derby County forward

Derby County boss John Eustace provided an injury update on Patrick Agyemang ahead of the club's clash with QPR.

Agyemang was integral to Derby's success last season, with only Carlton Morris bettering his tally of ten goals in the Championship.

However, with the Rams chasing a play-off place towards the tail end of the campaign the 25-year-old suffered a serious injury to his Achilles tendon in a game against Stoke City.

The injury ruled Agyemang out for the remainder of the season, and also saw the American miss out on being selected for the USA squad for the 2026 World Cup on home soil.

After undergoing surgery for the injury Agyemang has been diligently working towards a return to action and it appears that ambition will be fulfilled before the end of the year.

Derby have endured a dismal start to the campaign but Eustace will no doubt be buoyed by the impending return of one of his most crucial squad members.

When is Patrick Agyemang expected to return from injury?

With Derby possessing one of the worst records in the Championship in front of goal this season Eustace will be desperate to have a player of Agyemang's quality back at his disposal.

In an update, he revealed that the forward is progressing well in his rehabilitation but insisted they are taking precautions to not reintroduce him prematurely.

"Pat's coming along really well," Eustace said ahead of Derby's visit to Loftus Road on Wednesday.

"We're really pleased with his progress. I don't think we'll see until after the international break.

"But it's really important that we don't rush him back as well, just to have him training very close to us at the moment is brilliant.

"He's with the rehab team, but he's hitting all the markers and his rehab as well has been excellent, his level of professionalism has been top drawer. So, you know, he'll be coming back really hungry, really have a point to prove as well..

"Obviously at the end of last season, he's missed out on going to the World Cup, and being a really important player for us. So, we certainly missed him in those last five or six games, and he'll be coming up rearing to go I'm sure."

While Eustace didn't specify an exact date for Agyemang's return he did indicate that he is hopeful that he will be ready to feature following the November international break.

If that is the case then Agyemang could be in contention to feature when Derby travel to Southampton on November 21.
