Nottingham Forest are reportedly getting closer to completing the signing of Junior Nkeng from AFC Wimbledon.
Journalist Graeme Bailey has reported that the Premier League side are set to win the race to sign the winger.
It is believed that the deal will be worth an initial £850,000 and it could rise to over £1 million with add-ons.
Born in Barcelona, Nkeng has progressed through the academy at AFC Wimbledon after starting out at Tottenham Hotspur.
He enjoyed a breakthrough campaign for the League One outfit last season, making 30 appearances in all competitions.
The 19-year-old was believed to be on the radar of a trio of Championship sides in the form of Norwich City, Millwall and Queens Park Rangers.
Whilst his route to first-team football could have been easier in the second-tier, he now looks set to move to the East Midlands.
Nkeng is unlikely to feature in the Forest team in the short-term and there may be a temptation to arrange a loan deal, at least for the first half of the season.
Oliver Glasner's side get the new Premier League season underway at home to Leeds United on Saturday afternoon.
