We take a look at the latest odds to succeed Andy Burnham as Prime Minister of the UK.
The ex-Mayor of Manchester only replaced Sir Kier Starmer in number 10 back in July, assuming office after his predecessor announced his resignation following the disastrous local elections at the beginning of the summer.
UK residents are set to go to the polls for the next general election in August 2029, but Burnham can attempt to trigger an earlier election if he so chooses.

At 13/5, both Reform and the Conservatives are just behind Labour in the betting to earn the most seats at the next general election. As a result, Nigel Farage, leader of Reform, and Kemi Badenoch, leader of the Conservatives both occupy prominent positions in the market to become the next PM.
Tory leader Badenoch is currently a narrow 3/1 favourite, slightly shorter than the 7/2 on offer about Farage. The former has been trying to rebuild the Conservative party ever since she was elected as leader in November 2024 and finally appears to be getting somewhere after some more positive recent polling.
Her party's standing has also been helped by a small dip in Reform's popularity. An investigation into allegations that Farage failed to declare financial gifts that he received whilst serving as an MP has seen public opinion cool slightly on the party.
Robert Jenrick would be the most likely figure to replace Farage, and he is 20/1 to become the next Prime Minister.
Current Secretary of State for Housing, Angela Rayner, is shortest of the Labour MPs looking for a route through to number 10 at 18/1. However, there isn't much to separate the market principles; Ed Miliband is 22/1, Lucy Powell 25/1 and Yvette Cooper 28/1.
