Despite this, the exits of some key players has seen their overall wage bill take a drop, with just eight Magpies players left earning £100,000+.
Brazilian midfielder Joelinton is the club's highest earner on a reported £190,000 a week, ahead of Yoane Wissa (£170,000) and Sven Botman (£160,000).
