Newcastle United are reportedly interested in signing Nottingham Forest defender Neco Williams this summer.
Williams has been a key part of the Forest setup across the last four seasons after leaving Liverpool in the summer of 2022.
The 25-year-old has featured prominently during his time at the City Ground as the club have stablised themselves in the Premier League, as well as playing European football last season.
Williams has made 160 appearances in all competitions and has been an excellent addition at left-back, whilst also having the ability to play at right-back.
His performances have caught the eye of a number of clubs and Forest appear to have a battle on their hands to keep hold of their player.
Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are believed to have an interest in Williams, but there is now another team in the race.
Football Insider have reported that Newcastle are now exploring a potential move.
The Magpies had an underwhelming campaign last season and they are looking to revamp their squad ahead of the new campaign.
They possess two strong full-backs in the form of Tino Livramento and Lewis Hall but there has been interest in the latter and Williams would be a valuable addition.
