We take a look at every winner of the National League, the fifth tier of English football.
Initially formed as the Alliance Premier League in 1979, the division combined teams from the Northern Premier League and Southern League.
It wasn't until the 1986/87 campaign that the Football League began accepting direct promotion and relegation between the Fourth Division (now known as League Two) and the Conference (now known as National League).
Only one club were able to win promotion into the Football League until 2002/03, where the league was granted an additional promotion place. This would be decided by a play-off system.
Barnet and Macclesfield Town are the most successful teams in the division, having been crowned champions on three occasions.
Altrincham, Enfield, Maidstone United, Kidderminster Harriers, Stevenage and Cheltenham Town are all two-time winners of the National League.
