Stoke-on-Trent boxer Nathan Heaney closes the curtain on his career this weekend with a rematch against Welsh star Gerome Warburton.
'The Hitman' was defeated by the Welshman in their last bout in March, losing by unanimous decision after his levels seemed to fade in the second half of the fight.
Former British middleweight champion Heaney, now 37, has announced he will retire from the sports whatever the result on Saturday, where he will likely be backed by a vociferous travelling contingent of fellow Stokies.
Warburton meanwhile will hope another victory over Heaney could potentially propel him back into the discussion for a British title shot.
The 31-year-old southpaw lost against Kieron Conway in his only previous title bout back in May of 2025.
