Legendary MMA fighter Nate Diaz is the slight underdog as he returns to the cage against Mike Perry this weekend.
The 41-year-old has not fought since his fourth round win against Tony Ferguson at UFC 279 in September 2022.
Three of his four fights prior to his win over Ferguson had resulted in losses to Conor McGregor, Jorge Masvidal and Leon Edwards.
Time will tell whether Diaz still has enough left in the tank and he features on a stacked card in California.
Diaz is 6/4 to win against the popular Perry and 10/1 to win by knockout, technical knockout or disqualification.
He is also 14/1 to finish the job in the first round, while a win by decision or technical decision is priced up at 17/4.
(Odds will display when the market is available).
Perry has also had a considerable break from MMA action and he returns to the cage for the first time since he lost to Daniel Rodriguez in April 2021.
Since the defeat, Perry has explored other avenues and he lost to Jake Paul in a boxing fight in June 2024.
He has enjoyed success in the Bare Knuckle arena and he has a perfect record of his six wins from six fights.
Perry is the odds-on favourite at 1/2 to beat the legendary Diaz and he is 15/2 to register a first round win.
