Swansea City have reportedly joined Celtic in the race for Motherwell midfielder Elijah Just.
Martin O'Neill's Scottish Premiership champions have been credited with a long-standing interest in the New Zealand international, but -- according to Daily Record -- Vitor Matos' Swans are trying to convince the 26-year-old to make the switch to the Championship.
Just has 12 months left on his contract at Motherwell, but the club will still seek a seven-figure bid to part ways with the versatile midfielder.
The Welsh outfit have already been active in the 2026/27 summer transfer window, adding midfielder Leo Walta, winger Moussa Yeo and centre back Stephen Welsh to the fold as they look to build on an 11th placed finish in the 2025/26 term.
Just enjoyed a productive debut campaign at Fir Park, featuring in all but three of Motherwell's 38 top-flight games.
An assist against Rangers in his first Motherwell appearance was a sign of things to come for the attacking midfielder, going on to find the net on seven occasions and create eight goals in the Scottish Premiership.
Jens Berthel Askou -- who departed to join Toulouse in May -- led the club to their highest finish since the 2019/20 term last season, placing fourth in the standings, and Just undoubtedly had a part to play in their vast improvement.
Off the back of an impressive season at club level, Just travelled to America to represent New Zealand in just their third ever World Cup. Despite the nation's group stage elimination, Just scored three goals in three games, including a brace in their 2-2 draw with Iran.
His performances on the global stage have undoubtedly alerted the attention of more clubs than just Swansea, and so the Championship side will face a battle to secure his signature.
Their €3.40m acquisition of Walta proves that they are willing to drop seven figures on players in a bid to return to the Premier League however, and there's no denying that Just could prove a shrewd addition.
