Sunderland will host Arsenal at 20:00 on Saturday night - a kick-off time sparingly used in the Premier League.
Despite eventually being crowned champions, Arsenal didn't find the trip to the Stadium Of Light all that comfortable last season, giving up a 2-1 lead late on in the game after Brian Brobbey rose first to snatch a late, late equaliser.
Mikel Arteta's men head back to Wearside donning a 100% Premier League record after three matches, but are faced with a rather unusual kick-off time.
Why does Sunderland v Arsenal kick-off at 20:00 on Saturday?
The Gunners will be afforded extra time to recover from their UEFA Champions League exploits away at Napoli on Wednesday.
Ordinarily, sides who are chosen to play in Saturday's lunchtime Premier League fixture, but have also been in action on the prior Wednesday in the Champions League, are given the choice over whether they want to kick-off at 12:30 or 20:00 on the Saturday.
Arsenal, however, were not given this choice because the Premier League rescheduled their match in anticipation of their participation in Europe.
The decision to reschedule earlier also avoids the possibility of a late change impacting plans of supporters planning to attend the game.
This does mean that there will be no 12:30 Premier League match this Saturday due to Arsenal v Sunderland being selected as TNTSport's designated live fixture for the weekend; in effect the 20:00 kick-off acting as a replacement.
Arsenal's midweek trip to Italy, their tricky away test at Sunderland and Tuesday's EFL Cup third round game at Ipswich Town means that Arteta has had to ready his players for three matches in six days.
Opponents Sunderland face a similarly testing schedule, however. The Black Cats faced off against Hull in the EFL Cup on Tuesday, host Arsenal on Saturday and begin their Europa League campaign next Wednesday against AZ Alkmaar.
