The former Manchester United and Real Madrid striker scored 56 goals in 73 UEFA Champions League appearances during his career.
He is ninth on the all-time top goalscorer list and he enjoyed a particularly remarkable scoring record in the 2002/03 season when he netted 14 goals in 11 matches.
Real Madrid legend Raul is next on the list and he scored 71 goals in 142 appearances in the competition, although 20 of those came before the turn of the millennium.
Arsenal legend Thierry Henry is prominent on the list, while Serie A greats Andriy Shevchenko and Filippo Inzaghi complete the top five.
Didier Drogba is the other former Premier League player who features amongst the top ten UEFA Champions League goalscorers of the decade.
There is also a place for the great Lionel Messi, who had not yet entered the prime goalscoring years of his career.
