Millwall are reportedly looking to complete the signing of Mathis Servais from Belgian Pro League side KV Mechelen.
After contributing 10 goals and 11 assists in a two-year stint at former club Beveren, Servias joined Mechelen for a fee of £1 million last summer.
He netted three goals and provided four assists last season as Mechelen finished fifth in the Belgian Pro League.
The versatile midfielder has won six caps for Belgium's Under 21 team and he has been tipped as a future full international.
His performances over the last couple of seasons have reportedly caught the eye of Millwall, with journalist Sacha Tavolieri claiming that they are negotiating a record transfer of around €6m.
Millwall's current record transfer is the £5 million fee they paid to secure the services of Josh Coburn from Middlesbrough, but the deal to sign Servais would top that.
The Lions are believed to have prepared a five-year deal as Alex Neil looks to strengthen his squad ahead of the new season.
The versatility that Servais would provide makes him an attractive proposition both as a left-winger and an attacking midfielder.
Millwall enjoyed a fine campaign last season as they reached the Championship play-offs before running out of steam against Hull City in the semi-finals.
Neil will believe that he can help the club take the extra step next season and the possible arrival of Servais would boost a squad which already looks well-placed to challenge for the top-six again.
