Matt Fitzpatrick continued his sensational form and won his second tournament in three starts on the PGA Tour, after defeating world number one Scottie Scheffler at RBC Heritage.
The dramatic playoff victory on Sunday evening takes the Englishman's PGA Tour win tally to four in his career, and his second victory on the famed South Carolinian course on the Atlantic coast.
Fitzpatrick had held a three-shot lead at the start of the day, but the imperious Scheffler reeled in the Yorkshireman steadily throughout Sunday.
The 31-year-old flighted in a fantastic approach shot and subsequently birdied the 73rd hole, to silence the home crowd and take home his second RBC Heritage title, following his first victory in 2023.
The win at Harbour Town Golf Links follows Fitzpatrick's impressive victory at the Valspar Championship last month and his solo-second at the Players the previous week.
His hot streak of form has ignited discussion about a potential second major title for the Yorkshireman; with the PGA Championship on the horizon, we take a look at Fitzpatrick's odds for success at Aronimink and beyond.
Fitzpatrick is already a major champion following his breakout 2022 US Open win, but the 31-year-old has struggled to build on that success in the years following.
His form has picked up in the last 12 months however; a T4 finish at the 2025 Open Championship was followed by a narrow defeat in the unofficial fifth major at the Players in March this year.
Sandwiched between those tournaments was of course the 2025 Ryder Cup, where Fitzpatrick took two-and-a-half points in Europe's dramatic victory at Bethpage Black.
The Englishman is arguably playing the greatest golf of his professional career at present, and is set to visit Aronimink in Pennsylvania as one of the Tour's form players for the PGA Championship.
Fitzpatrick is currently 33/1 for victory at the 2026 PGA Championship. His career best finish at the tournament is T5 in 2022, when he finished on -3 alongside compatriot Tommy Fleetwood.
The 2022 US Open remains Fitzpatrick's only major win to date, where the Yorkshireman finished one shot clear of Scottie Scheffler and Will Zalatoris to claim the $3m winner's purse.
Fitzpatrick has a decent record at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club, finishing T12 at the New York course during the 2018 US Open.
Fitzpatrick doesn't have the greatest record at Birkdale, however he has only teed off once there as a professional, during the 2017 Open Championship.
He finished T44 then, with a score of +3. However almost a decade down the line, Fitzpatrick may fancy himself make a better fist of it this time around on home soil.
With three chances remaining this year, the Englishman is 6/1 to Win a Major this season, 100/1 To Win 2+ Majors, or - if you really fancy the Yorkshireman to go on the charge in 2026 - Fitzpatrick is priced at 300/1 to win all three remaining majors this year.
