Manchester City academy star Reigan Heskey has reportedly agreed to join Bundesliga side FC Koln on a permanent deal.
Reigan, the son of former England international Emile Heskey, and his older brother Jaden have been part of Manchester City's academy for more than a decade.
Reports initially surfaced that FC Koln were interested in signing the 18-year-old on loan, with talks said to have commenced earlier this month in what is expected to be a busy summer at the Etihad with Enzo Maresca taking the reins.
Brighton were also said to be monitoring Heskey, but Koln have moved decisively and a deal said to be worth €2 million (£1.7m) has been reached between the two parties, according to journalist Florian Plettenberg.
The England youth international has reportedly agreed a four-year deal at the RheinEnergieStadion, and an official announcement of the move is expected in the coming days.
Heskey has been deployed across the forward line for City at youth level, and he will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of the likes of Jude Bellingham and Jadon Sancho by making a name for himself in the German top flight.
The starlet was a regular for the Citizens' under-21 side last season, registering 10 goal contributions across 15 appearances in the Premier League 2.
He also featured in the academy's European exploits, and scored twice in a 4-0 win over Real Madrid U19s in December.
In September he made his first senior start for the club, replacing Savinho in the closing stages of their 2-0 win over Huddersfield Town in the EFL Cup third round.
He was also named on the bench for several Premier League games last season, but did not make an appearance.
FC Koln finished 14th in the Bundesliga in 25/26, third points above the relegation play-off places.
Heskey will be joined at the Rhineland club by fellow City academy graduate Jahmai Simpson-Pusey. The centre-back spent the latter part of last season on loan at Koln before signing a permanent deal last month.
